Imagine… a summer WITHOUT camp.  It’s hard to believe, isn’t it?  The friends that are made, the relationships created.  Life would be very different if we didn’t have our camp friends and memories to call upon throughout the year. We understand how special Camp Heart Connection is to our families, children and volunteers, that’s why we’re asking for your help to make sure that Camp Heart Connection stays around for years to come.  

This year, Children’s Cancer Connection will celebrate 25 years of camping at Camp Heart Connection and we’d like YOU to support Camp by participating in the 2012 Campership Challenge.

 

Beginning on March 26, we are challenging all Children’s Cancer Connection families, friends and volunteers to participate in a challenge to raise $25,000 for Camp Heart Connection camps and our other recreation programs. If every child and camp staff that attended one of our two camps in 2011 raised only $44 – we would meet our goal! Money raised between March 26 and August 31 will help Children’s Cancer Connection continue to provide our week-long summer camps FREE OF CHARGE to our families. Plus, the first 25 to register and raise $100 are eligible for a limited edition t-shirt!

 

Helping is easy! 

  • Email your friends, families, and co-workers to help make camp possible for one child this summer. 
  • Set your own goal – something you think you can attain! Is it $100 or a full camp scholarship of $300? 
  • Sponsor a cabin of kids for $1,750, and your name will appear on a cabin at camp.
  • All participating campers will be recognized at their respective camps this summer!

How to get started:

  • Go to http://www.philanthropig.com/ChildrensCancerConnection

  • Select “Become a Fundraiser Today, Get Started!” located in the right sidebar.

  • Choose the goal you wish to fundraise for and complete the “Fundraiser Bio” and “Amount you Wish to Raise” sections.

  • Create an account or login with an existing username and password.

  • Select “See Your Account Page” to edit information about yourself or about your fundraising goal. Remember to select “Save Your Changes”

  • Send your link out to all of your friends and family and let them know why camp, or ANY Children’s Cancer Connection program, is so important to you and your family! You can personalize your page and share fun camp stories to help encourage people to support your fundraising efforts!
