Run, Rock & Stroll

URGENT UPDATE (due to weather): Run, Rock & Stroll, an event benefiting Children's Cancer Connection, will be postponed to Saturday, August 7 at 8:00 a.m. at Water Works Park in Des Moines, with the support of presenting sponsor Wellmark BlueCross BlueShield. The event includes a 10K, 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk, games and inflatables for children, live music, free massages, and homemade post-race goodies! For more information about the race being postponed, please click here.

Registration is available online below. Run, Rock & Stroll's entry fee is $10 for children (ages 3-10) and $25 for adults. The day of the race will the registration will be $25.

The first place male and female in the 5K and 10K will receive an award. In addition, the first and second place male and female finishers in each of the seven categories for the 5K and 10Kruns will receive awards. Categories: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

Hate waiting in registration lines on race day? New this year, you may choose to get your race packet mailed to you! This includes: race bib, t-shirt (you are guaranteed your shirt size) and other "goodies." This option in only available if you register before May 19 and costs $11.00 per participant.

DATE CHANGE: On Friday, August 6, all participants may collect their packets, including the commemorative t-shirts, from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. in Center Court (lower level) at Valley West Mall. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race from 7-7:30 a.m. Your timing chip will have to be picked up on Saturday.

This is the largest annual fundraiser for Children's Cancer Connection and we need YOUR SUPPORT!  Create a TEAM and start fundraising now for this awesome event!  These funds are vital to Children's Cancer Connection programs that support a family’s cancer journey.

Set up your team or individual fundraising page today. Our step by step instructions will guide you through set-up on FirstGiving.com. Send your link out to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers! Your team can get creative with t-shirts, bandanas, ribbons, buttons, ect. The sky is the limit! Remember you do not have to participate in the event to donate or to raise funds. If you are participating, however, you must register for the event before forming or becoming a part of a team. We will have a prize for the team who raises the most funds as well as for the individual raising the most funds.
