The Photo Connection Photo Contest


Children’s Cancer Connection is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Photo Connection contest! We encourage any of our families and volunteers to submit photos that tell the story of Children’s Cancer Connection. Please submit any Children’s Cancer Connection related photos that fit into the categories below. Participants are not limited to the number of entries, although each entry must be submitted individually via the online registration form below and be from the 2010 calendar year. Photos can be submitted from Tuesday, February 1, 2011 until Monday, February 28, 2011.

All photos must be submitted in JPEG format that is less than 1.5MB. All entries must be accompanied by an online entry form. Files in .zip format will not be opened or considered. Receipt of photos will not be acknowledged.
 
The top photo in each category and the overall grand prize winner, will be showcased on our website and mentioned in our E-Newsletter! Also, the first 25 people to submit photos will receive two free tickets to Adventureland. The overall grand prize winner will receive a Children’s Cancer Connection Fleece and long sleeve t-shirt!
 
All entries received will be judged by Children's Cancer Connection based on photo quality, composition, and ability to tell Children's Cancer Connection's story.  Decision of the judges is final and binding in all respects. Winners will be announced via our E-newsletter on March 2, 2011. Children's Cancer Connection reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject and disqualify any entry which Children's Cancer Connection, in its sole discretion, determines to be inconsistent with its reputation. Children's Cancer Connection assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures or lost e-mail entries.

1) Camp Heart Connection Photo: Action photos, activity photos, group photos, counselor/camper

2) CCC Family Outings Photo: Sporting events, family camp, Des Moines Buccaneers, Adventureland, ect.

3) Hospital Based Photo: Arts & Crafts, End of Chemotherapy Party, treatment photos, time with favorite nurse/doctor, Beads for Bravery

4) Volunteer Photo: Gift Wrap Booth, Run Rock & Stroll, at our office, at the hospital

5) Support Services Photo: Club HOPE, Event Photos, Survivorship Connection photos

6) Individual Child Photo (close up): Any great close up photos of your Children’s Cancer Connection child

By entering, you warrant that the photograph that you submit is original and is your own, and does not infringe on the rights of any third party. You further warrant that your participation in this photo contest does not violate any agreement between you and a third party.

You grant Children's Cancer Connection permission to provide your name, and your city and state of residence, when publishing, reproducing or otherwise using your photo and when identifying you as an entrant or prize winner in the photo contest. While Children's Cancer Connection will make every effort to credit photographers when using photos, there may be circumstances where it is not possible to do so.

If your photograph(s) include a recognizable person or people, you must secure permission from each person (or in the case of a minor, the minor's parent or guardian) to use his/her image in the photo contest, and present it to Children's Cancer Connection, if requested.
